Don't Have An Education? 3 Jobs To Consider Pursuing

Blog

Whether you've been out of the job field for awhile or are just looking for a change in your career, you may wonder where to even start. Additionally, if you don't have an educational background, then you may feel at a loss of where to look. Luckily, there are several job options for you to choose from including working for a logistics company, a call center, or in the restaurant industry.

A Logistics Company

If you love to travel around the country, have a valid drivers license, and don't mind spending a lot of time behind the wheel, working as a driver for a logistics company may be something to look into. Logistics companies help transport goods from one company to another, which is an essential part of our economy. So, what does that mean for you? Other than giving you a basic definition, it means that you will be employed.

A Call Center

Call centers typically hire people of all different ages and educational backgrounds. And if you're looking for a job with unique hours, then a call center may be right for you. Typically, call centers have positions open for both daytime and nighttime positions, which means that if you need to be at home with family during the day then you can work at night and still make a good living.

The Food Industry

If you're looking for a great way to earn some fast money without having a degree, then the food industry may be for you--especially if you work as a server. Depending on what part of the country you live in, you can make a lot of money every night on tips alone; this is a great way to pay the bills and support a family. If you are new to the restaurant industry, you may start out as a host or hostess. This may not pay as much up front, but it is a great way to really get your foot in the door and eventually become a server.

If you don't have a degree or any sort of educational background, you may feel at a loss of what to do with your career. To learn more about these three unique industries, schedule an interview with a manager of all of these companies and see where you can start. And remember, it's never too late to pursue a job that will help you support your family.

Lowering Your Shipping Costs

When I started going through our books to see where we were losing money, I was astonished to see how much we were losing on shipping. We were spending a boatload on shipping, and I knew that it needed to stop. I met with our shipping department, and they talked about some of the issues they had been facing, including trying to find small enough boxes and using packing tape that just didn't work well. We started trying to figure out how to lower these costs, and we figured things out pretty quickly. This blog is all about eliminating waste and speeding up your shipping procedures.
